We are looking for a Nurse Manager at UCSF's Pediatric Diabetes

and business operations including but not limited to oversight
of staff schedules and attendance, clinical productivity,
billing practices, clinic templates and
scheduling, group classes scheduling, review of charge capture,

procurement of supplies and equipment, human resource and other
resource management for daily clinical operations of the Madison
Clinic.

Diabetes Nurse Specialist (CDE) at

Diabetes Care Program
The Diabetes Nurse Specialist (CDE) assists the
Diabetes Clinical Nurse Specialist with managing the quality and
cost components of health care for patients with diabetes.
Demonstrates leadership skills as a diabetes expert by
facilitating changes in patient care delivery. Acts as a
consultant to the nursing staff and other health care
professionals to enhance quality of care. Contributes to
educational and professional development of nursing staff and
other health care professionals.
We are looking for someone who has both inpatient and
outpatient diabetes education skills.
Qualifications:
Education: -Active RN License, BSN preferred,
Master's Degree preferred. -Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE)
required or actively working towards CDE certification.
Experience: -Expert knowledge of key patient
care standards and compliance specifications; Title 22, and
Joint Commission -Experience in data management and analysis
preferred -Experience with clinical expertise in diabetes care
and teaching and actively working with a CDE community mentor
(if non CDE individual)
License: -Current California RN License
-Current California Clinical Nurse Specialist License, and/or
FNP, with diabetes clinical focus/CDE -Current hospital required
certification (BLS-HP) within 90 days of hire.

Nurse CDE
Nurse CDE wanted for a temporary full time position to provide
intensive diabetes management to subjects with type 1 diabetes
who enter clinical research trials at UCSF to preserve beta cell
function. Children, adolescents, and young adults are included
in these cutting edge trials. Anticipated start date is
January, 2012 for a 3 to 4 month period. UCSF is an equal

Women’s Health Obstetrics Services:
Diabetes in Pregnancy Program (DAPP)
DAPP provides clinical
services for patients with gestational diabetes (GDM) and those
who have pre-existing Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes mellitus. The
program uses a multi-disciplinary team approach, and consists of
a perinatologist, endocrinologist, fellow, certified dietician
and a registered nurse. In addition to regular prenatal visits,
these patients are offered unlimited phone support in-between
visits provided by an RN. Doctors provide weekly blood glucose
review and insulin adjustment, and nurse-coordinator offers
daily support for both clinical and psychosocial patients needs.
Together with a dietician, the nurse adjusts fast changing
dietary requirements of these patients. DAPP health team
clinical expertise, personalized patient care approach, and
continuous RN support make this service effective and
patient-friendly.
The DAPP nurse-coordinator
also offers perinatal supprt and OB nursing triage for
non-diabetic patients.
