S FBAADE
- PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
President’s Message 2005 – 2006
2005 was a very productive year with two
well attended CEU programs, the DAWN study and Inpatient
Glycemic Management. SFBAADE chapter celebrated its 20th
year anniversary and ended the year with a leadership retreat at
Costanoa to encourage new leadership. With the epidemic expanse
of diabetes, multiple cultures, languages, new technologies and
ever changing treatments, it will take all of us to help each
other meet these challenges. We have a large membership. Now it
is time to activate our memberships to support and share
expertise. Together we can make an impact, improve standards of
care through best practice, connect with our legislators to
influence policies that improve care, access, prevention and
reimbursement.
SFBAADE will continue to work on the
following projects:
1.Annual Spring Conference in March, exact
TBA with Keynote speaker William Polonsky. Contact

Diabetes Educator Needs Assessment
UCSF Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy, as well as, the local
diabetes educator chapter, SFBAADE, is conducting a needs
assessment to find out if there is interest in the community in
